Hundreds of citizens did Pilot Project as a run-up to Clean Delhi Movement.

We covered 17 sites in Delhi NCR where over 8000 Art of Living volunteers spoke to over 100000 people on the streets of Delhi encouraging in them a spirit of celebrating responsibilities and making them aware of the merits of a clean Delhi NCR. As a team we removed over 35 Full Truck loads of garbage from these 17 locations. We're truly contributing in making Delhi ready to welcome the world We received an overwhelming support from MCD, Market Associations and Residence Welfare Associations (RWA). This pilot will serve as a run-up to generate the initial thrust and to assess the ground logistics for the massive week-long clean up drive from 6-12 September 2010. The initiative aims to create awareness amongst citizens and showcase the clean face of capital to the world during the upcoming common wealth games and is supported by Delhi Government and MCD.

Youth volunteers have also joined the campaigners at the pilot sites, which includes the Nizamuddin station and key market places across Delhi NCR including - PVR saket. There was also a staging of a street play on 24th, (6-7 pm) at PVR Saket to motivate people to join for cleaning on the 25th.
